Yesterday Queen Mathilde paid a company visit to Gediflora. She talked to several female entrepreneurs in the horticultural sector. Then she got a tour from Elien Pieters.

At 10 am Her Majesty the Queen arrived at Gediflora. She was welcomed by the Mayor of Staden Francesco Vanderjeugd and Governor Carl Decaluwé. Then there was a presentation by Elien Pieters and a presentation of 5 female entrepreneurs from the horticultural sector. Participating companies in the table discussion were Elien Pieters (Gediflora), Febe Floré (Microflor), Marianne Maenhoudt (Laurica Plants), Isabelle Maes (Plantenkwekerij Maes-Reyns), Corine Decadt (Decadt-Verhelst) and Inge Declerq (VDW Plant).

During the discussion, the impact of the corona crisis on Belgian floriculture was also discussed in detail.
